Cannoli Dip Dippers

Updated: Oct 18, 2022

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

These are my newest favorite discovery!!

I love cannolis but whenever I order them from restaurants online, they always run out and replace it with like a brownie or cookie- super disappointing!! Especially when I was expecting a CANNOLI!

So here is to the best snack ever!

These are special though and are Veganized! My fellow vegetarians, feel free to replace the vegan ingredients with traditional ones, I hope you all enjoy!

Cannoli Dip Dippers Recipe:

Yield: 6 Servings

Cook Time: 1 Hr 30 Min

Cannoli Dip Ingredients:

- ¼ Cup Mini Dark Chocolate Chips

- 1/3 Cup Powdered Sugar

- ¼ Cup Coconut Cream (Or Heavy Cream)

- 4 oz Vanilla Bean Cashew Yogurt (Or Mascarpone)

- 7.5 oz Kite Hill Cashew Ricotta (Or Ricotta)

Cannoli Shell Dippers Ingredients:

- 1 Cup All Purpose Flour

- 1 Tbsp Vegetable Shortening

- 1 Tbsp Sugar

- Pinch Sea Salt

- 2/3 Cup Marsala Wine

- Vegetable or Canola Oil for Frying

- Powdered Sugar for Coating

Directions:

1. Preheat frying oil to 375° F. Prepare cannoli shell dippers first. Mix the flour, vegetable shortening, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Slowly add the marsala wine until the dough comes together.

2. Knead for five minutes and then form into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and let rest for 1 hour.

3. Roll out dough using a rolling pin into a large rectangle, ¼ inch thick. Cut dough into desired shape. Fry each cannoli dipper in the oil until golden in color.

4. Let cool before sprinkling with powdered sugar and dipping into cannoli dip. Prepare dip while they are cooling.

5. To make dip, add ricotta and the cashew yogurt together in a bowl and add the powdered sugar. In a mixing bowl, whip coconut cream until it has doubled in thickness on high speed.

6. Fold coconut cream into the ricotta mixture and fold in the mini dark chocolate chips. Let chill for thirty minutes before serving.

7. Serve with the cannoli shell dippers and enjoy!

Tips/Tricks:

-You can also try baking these at 375°F for 12-14 minutes or until they have turned golden brown in color.

-You can also buy cannoli shells pre-made in the store if you’d like :)
